Scene 1
December the
28th 2014 morning, at Irianto
Captain’s residence. Irianto Captain has used his uniform, ready to do his duty
as a pilot. Before he left, he say goodbye to his wife and his daughter.
Pilot :
“I have to go...”
Ninis :
"Okay daddy, take care... Don’t forget to renovate my room after dad comes home. You’ve promised”
Pilot :
"Don’t worry about that dear. But
promise me that you won’t bother your mother okay?"
Ninis :
"Yes, Father. I promise”
Pilot :
"Well then, I should go now...”
Mother :
"Be careful..”
Pilot :
"Sure, please take care of Ninis when I go...”
Mother : “Don’t worry about that..”
Pilot :
“Goodbye...”
Ninis and mom : “Goodbye dad...” (waving their hands)
After
Captain Irianto went to the airport, Ninis
and her mother went back into their house since it was too early to school.
Scene 2
Meanwhile in the plane
Tanti :
"Stewardess! What is this? (pointing right, pointing left) It so dirty! Full of dust! It’s on the
passenger’s seat, how could I relax when the seat is dirty like this?! Clean
this right away! "
Juninda : (remove her
headset) "Ck, so noisy. It’s not dirty at all..."
Tanti : "I won’t sit here
if you not clean this seat!”
Stewardess : "Sorry for the inconvenience,
I’ll clean this right away. Please wait a minute"
Tanti : (sit arrogantly)
Juninda : "I think
I heard that you won’t sit there before the seat clean."
Tanti : "Aaah! You’re
right! Oh My God!!" (clean up her shirt)
Stewardess :
(come) (clean the seat) "its clean ma’am. Enjoy your trip. Do not forget
to use your seat belts. "(Bow) (Go)
The flight went
smoothly until suddenly the pilot saw a huge cloud.
Pilot : "Oh God, what
should we do? It’s cumulonimbus clouds"
Co-pilot : "Let’s
contact the ATC tower and ask if we can go higher"
Pilot : "Yeah, you’re
right"
Then he contacts the
ATC tower to go higher, but before the ATC’s officer could answer, the contact
is lost.
Pilot :
"Hello? This is Airasia QZ8501’s pilot, please respond. Hello? ATC tower? Gosh, I think we lost contact"
Co-pilot :
"Calm down captain, now we should do our best to control this plane and
save everyone"
Pilot : (nod) "Alright"
Co-pilot : “Can we flew this plane higher? It’s an emergency situation.”
Pilot :
“I don’t think so, there were 7 other plane on this route, we don’t even know their position, we can hit the other plane if we go higher or lower. The only
things we can do are hope and pray.”
Co-pilot :
“God, please save us...”
Soon, the plane shook,
all passengers panic.
Faridah : "I think there’s
something wrong with this plane"
Yumna : "Jeez, don’t think like
that. Let’s pray for our safety"
Faridah : "Ah yeah"
Stewardess :
"To all passengers, due to the bad weather, please fasten your seat belts
and remain calm and don’t panic."
Tanti :
"What? (shock) Bad weather? Oh my... what should we do now? I can’t die
like this."(Confused)
Juninda : "Ma’am,
it’s better for you to pray than make the other passengers panic”
Meanwhile in the
cockpit
Pilot : “ATC tower? This is
Airasia QZ8501. We need your respond immediately”
Co –pilot : “It’s not working captain”
(panic)
Pilot :
“(look at the controller) the engine is died. What should we do now? I can’t control this plane anymore"
Co-pilot : "Hang on
captain, try to control this plane..."
Pilot : “I can’t!! We’re going
down!!” (Panic)
Co-pilot : “Dear God, now it’s up to You”
And the plane crash
into the sea
Scene 3
After school,
Ninis go home and immediately run into her house. She hope her mother will
smile at her and ask about her day at school as usual, but her hope disappear
when she saw her mother watching news from television with tears on her face
News :
“Airasia QZ8501 reported has been crashed around Karimata Strait. The pilot is Irianto captain.”
Ninis :
“What?!” (Shock) “No.. it can’t be.. it’s not dad isn’t it?” (starts crying)
“Mom! It’s not dad right?!”
Mother :
(Try to control her tears) (Hug Ninis) “Ninis, calm down ok? Now change your
clothes and we’ll go to the airport”
After Ninis change her
clothes, they go to the airport. During their way to the airport, Ninis and her
mother didn’t say any word. They busy with their own thoughts.
Scene 4
Mother :
I’m Captain’s Irianto wife, and she is my daughter. Please explain us what happen to my husband”
Officer : (nod) “Sure, please sit
down”
Ninis and mom : (sit down)
Officer :
(sighs) “Ma’am, we also didn’t know what actually happen to Airasia QZ8501, they contacted ATC tower and ask to bring the plane higher due to the bad weather, but before the officer could answer, the connection is lost. We’ll do our best
to find the airplane. Please keep calm and pray for your husband’s and the
other passengers”
Ninis : “But sir, my father is
still alive right?”
Officer :
“We hope so, we didn’t know the state of the aircraft, passengers and crew.”
Ninis : “But my father will
survive right?”
Officer :
“its God’s will. Just pray that your father will come back safely.”
Ninis : “But..”
Mother : “Calm down
dear...” (hugging Ninis) “Thank you for the information sir.”
Officer :
“Of course ma’am, now I should go... I’ll report if there’s any progress.
Please be patient.” (shook his head and go)
At waiting room
Mother :
“Nis, you should accept this even it hard for you to believe. Your father will
sad if he know that you crying like this”
Ninis :
“It’s not that easy mom..” (crying) “I love him so much, I don’t want to lose
him. Dad is a precious person in my life. I want him survive...”
Mother : “Do you know dear? Your father told
mother that he was happy and proud to bring the airplane fly above the clouds
and split the sky. Your father flew the airplane with happiness Nis. Honestly,
mother also scared and nervous when your father say goodbye to us with a smile
on his face everytime he going to work. As a pilot, airplane crash is a risk,
your father know that, so we must prepare if someday dad say goodbye to us and
never come back. And it’s happen now Nis, this morning is the last time we could
see his smile. We should accept this and let him go..”
Scene 5
Day by day passes, Ninis and her
mother always follow the news about Airasia and never forget to pray to
Almighty God, hoping that her father was alive. National SAR team discovered a
few part of airplane’s body and several bodies found, their body already
bulging and hard to identify. There are several bodies were identified because
there are items that can be recognized .
(While watching the news)
MC : “Good afternoon everyone,
met again with me, Junandi on Breaking News program. Still with Airasia QZ8501
news which fell 4 days ago. Currently we have connected with our team in
Pangkalan Bun. Please, Tribuna Dewi to report the situation.”
Reporter : “Thank you Junandi. Everyone,
this moment I have the captain of National SAR team, Mr. Bambang Soelistyo with
me. Mr. Bambang, how the evacuation progress until today, sir?”
Nat. SAR
Cap : “Thank you. Until now 28 victims
were found, and 20 people had been identified.”
Reporter :
”Is the airplane’s body has been found,
sir?”
Nat. SAR
Cap : “We only found a few part of
the airplane. We will continue to find all the parts of the plane, especially the
black box”
Reporter :
“Is it possible for the passengers to survive sir?”
Nat. SAR Cap :
“Mmmh, Let’s pray for the best.”
Reporter : “Alright, thank you for the
information sir. We’ll wait the progress of evacuation process. Well everyone,
this is our report from Pangkalan Bun, return to the studio with Junandi.”
MC : “Thank you Tribuna. So
everyone, this is Breaking News program. I’m Junandi. Good afternoon”
(Ninis and mother watched in tears)
Scene 6
Ninis not able to watch the other
news. So she go to her room and locked herself inside. Until a few hours, she
won’t get out from her room. Of course it makes her mother worry. Her mother
call Ninis’s best friend, Zoey
Mother :
(talk from the phone) “Zoey could you come here a minute?”
Zoey :
“Sure ma’am, what’s wrong?”
Mom : “Ninis won’t come out
from her room. I have ask her to eat, but she refused. She cried all day
long..”
Zoey :
“What? Okay ma’am, I’ll go as soon as possible”
Mom :
Thanks Zoey (hung up)
Zoey arrive at Ninis’s house with worried face
Zoey :
“Is she still on her room ma’am?”
Mother :
“Yes, she still there. Please persuade her to come out.”
Zoey :
“Sure ma’am”
Zoey go to Ninis’s room
Zoey :
(knock the door) “Ninis, open the door please”
Ninis :
(not answering)
Zoey :
“Please, it’s me, Zoey..”
Ninis :
(opens the door with pale face)
Zoey : (hug Ninis and get into
Ninis’s room) (sit on the edge of the bed) “Don’t do this again okay? You make
your mother worry”
Ninis : “Actually, I don’t want
to do this too, but I really miss my father. Why he go so fast? It’s not fair!”
Zoey : “I know that, but do you
think your father will happy if he saw you crying like this? He won’t happy
Nis, He will sad...”
Ninis :
”Yeah, but I don’t know what to do, I really want to die and join my father”
Zoey : “Don’t talk like that.
What about your mother? You’ve promised your father that you wont bother her
right? Do you think act like this is not bothering you mother? It’s bothering
your mother Nis, now what you should do is pray for your father and hope
National SAR team could find his body as soon as possible in any condition. And
keep your promise to not bother your mother”
Ninis :
(quiet)
Zoey : “Now try to make your
father proud of you. Oh yeah you haven’t eat right? Now eat and meet your
mother. By the way, it’s getting dark, I should go home”
Ninis : (hugging Zoey) “Thank
you for make me realize Zoey. Come down and meet my mother.”
Zoey :
“Come”
They go down and meet Ninis’s mother
Mother :
“Ninis..” (hugging Ninis)
Ninis : “I’m so sorry mom for
make you worried, now I realize that daddy will not happy seeing me like this.”
Mother :
“It’s okay dear, now we should pray for father’s happiness wherever he is.”
Ninis :
“Yes mom..”
Zoey :
“Mm, Nis, ma’am. I should go now.”
Mother :
“Will you come and join us for dinner?”
Zoey :
“No thanks, it’s getting dark. I should go home now.”
Mother :
“Okay then, take care, thanks for your help”
Zoey :
“Never mind, goodbye..”
Ninis :
“Bye..”
Ninis finally accept his father’s
accident and promise herself to not make her father disappoint and promise to
make her mother proud
